From Las Vegas, Nevada this is Poker Night in America. (upbeat jazz music) - Welcome to Poker Night in America with Joe Stapleton, I'm Chris Hanson. We're headed back to Vegas for our Twitch celebrity cash game. - You know I never thought I'd be saying Twitch and celebrity in the same sentence, but that's the world we live in apparently, kappa. Look it up, gramps.
- [Hanson] The twitch celebrity cash game from Vegas, Phil Hellmuth, no surprise, he likes to go in low and build it up, but how much money people are in for is starting to really pile up. - Yeah absolutely, and especially Antonio Esfandiari, he's down more right now than most people bought in for in the first place. - We were thinking of pulling an Antonio and actually studying the game. I read on the internet three days ago Antonio decided to learn. (laughter) It's true, did you guys not see, it was on F5 Poker. - I didn't see it. - Antonio starts to learn how to play poker. - [Hellmuth] I thought he was going to remain stupid the rest of his life, he was going to coast on the 18 million he won and never learn or get better. 'Cause why bother? - [Laak] Joe, Chicago Joey made a podcast. - A guy like me, no matter how many Hold'Em bracelets I win, I'm always studying and looking. - [Stapleton] Yeah, but Phil's mostly studying his own books . - [Laak] Chicago Joey did a podcast a week ago, and on minute 30-- - [Stapleton] The ones he wrote. Antonio revealed that he watches first like what do you call it, those training video things right. - [Hanson] Kings for Somerville, and JCarver makes it 300. - What did you watch check this website? - It's confidential. - [O'Brien] It was just for the show. - Just for the show. - [Laak] I only made it public that he started to learn because he told the world first. I wouldn't of ever outed him if he wanted to secretly learn. - Honestly I thought his ego was too big to learn. - [Stapleton] Queen high flop is a good look for Kings, Scott Ball's caught a piece. - [O'Brien] His brain is just too smart. - [Hellmuth] You have to learn, Antonio and see what they're doing, yet you have to-- - Do you know how much video time you're going to have to log before you-- - You're so much better than me, yet you won't play me heads up for a taser gun. Like why won't you do that? - I told you we can just go play heads up, I will go play heads up-- - Let's play heads up. - I like playing 5, 10K a pop. - Let's play a 100K and winner shoots the loser with a taser gun. I want the taser gun bonus. - Jason, how many hours do you think he has to watch of videos before he learns something? Is it like 10? - 20 minutes, not even. - 20 minutes. - It takes nothing. - He's definitely learning, you can see from his- He's learning pretty well. - He's like Bradley Cooper in Limitless, he just-- - Oh yeah like Limitless, the film. - Yeah, but he lost his supply. - Oh, he lost his supply of the pills. That's why he's going to watch the videos. Antonio let's watch Jason Somerville's Running Up. It's fun, it's entertaining, and he talks about like abusing button power, it's great. - Antonio has been on there before. - That's true. I heard about the flip. He got me stuck the same number and then I got an out just like-- - He had me almost for a 72 I think, right? - He flipped at 36 right? - 36. - Yeah you were at 18, flip for 18 each. - We were at 18 going to 36? That was nice. - We were at 18 going to 27, and then I got, I started working it back after that win. He decided if he plays this in the future he's quitting at 18. - [Esfandiari] Can I get chips please? What am I in, 30? - Yes. - 20 please. - [Stapleton] Good fold by Scott. - [Hanson] Antonio buying another 20,000 in chips, that puts him in for 50K. - [Stapleton] Hi-ya! - Yeah I've now lost 36K flips to both of you and Phil Laak, that's kind of cool, that's kind of a cool, little story. Almost better than having 70K from both, the combined both of you. - Priceless story. - Priceless. My two biggest, or two of my three biggest coin flips, is to you two. - There you go. - Thank you. - [Stapleton] The Twitchers versus the seniors, with Dan O'Brien straddling this hand. As a blind raise under the gun, you got to put it out there before you even see what your cards are. - [O'Brien] This is a raise, right? - Yes, I looked at my cards and then I put 200 out. In that order. - [Esfandiari] The greatest we have, Phil Laak. - [Stapleton] So we're four ways to this flop. - You at least have to study to see what the kids are doing, right like, they'll get locked into one strategy and they all think everything's, this is the way to play. Every time they use the word standard and then I have to figure out a way to beat their standard. That's why I look. - You figured it out. - [Stapleton] What would Phil do? - Yeah, and then all I got to do and go to the internet, oh this is their new standard, okay then I'll do that and this and this. - All in. - [Dealer] All in. - [Hanson] What website do you go to figure out the new standard, Stapes, any idea? - PhillHellmuth.com, is that a thing? - That might be the new standard. - Elky's all in with 10 high, good thing nobody had a queen. - [Laak] Elky is that going to hurt me when I find out what you had? - Eh, no, it's not that bad. I had outs. - Oh damn, it's going to hurt, huh? You had a five-seven. - Even worse. - [Stapleton] Much better when Elky lets the cards do the talking. - Why, could you beat 9-10, Phil? - Unless he had a queen. - Thank you Vicki. - But he's not folding a queen obviously. - I could beat no pair, you had no pair? - I had no pair. A lot of pair draws though, a lot of draws. - [Voiceover] From more from Poker Night visit pokernight.com or find us on Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube, where you can see completely episodes and unedited live streams. - [Voiceover] Twitch celebrity cash game coming to you tonight on Poker Night in America from Las Vegas. - [Esfandiari] Mr. Somerville, I'm ready for you. Let's play a big one. - [Hanson] How many World Series of Poker bracelets do we have around the table? - [Stapleton] Well the only ones that count are Phil's 14. - [Hanson] Elky's got bracelets, right? - [Stapleton] Elky's got one or two. - [Hanson] No I mean he's wearing, he's very fashionable-- - [Stapleton] He does have some bracelets, yes. - [Hanson] That's what I meant, I'm sorry. - [Stapleton] He owns wrist accessories, correct. - [Hanson] And right on cue, Elky raises with ace-king suited. - [Hanson] Antonio Esfandiari in the small blind is going to raise to 1,200 with ace-queen. There's aces everywhere around this table. - I wonder if my read is like, "oops." - Ding, ding, ding, ding. - [Stapleton] Scott just calls with two 10's and he is probably going to have to call a little bit more because I think Elky is probably going to pile it in here. - I thought Elky was going all in-- - I was right then. - My read was right. - Yeah, I think those can go back. - Yeah, feels good when that happens. Goes fold, fold 200. - [Hanson] So Elky is all in for 3,200 and Esfandiari is going to bet enough to put Ball all in. - [Stapleton] These two put Scott at a bad spot. - [Hanson] He's got the best hand! - [Lew] Nice leading with seven high. - [Laak] I'm not worried about the deuce-seven anymore. - [Lew] They might be isolating. - Sad thing is this is like a super-nutty fold, I'm not even afraid of Antonio, but I'm so afraid of Elky. - Whatever, I just want to get the dead money in there. - Nice going Antonio, I have better than ace-jack. - Yeah you got me. - [Stapleton] Scott just not rolled the way they are, gets out of the way. - [O'Brien] Flipping one card? - [Hellmuth] Elky had the nuts, so I laid down-- - [Laak] Yeah, and that's the rule. - [Esfandiari] Yeah, yeah whatever. - Ohhh. - [Stapleton] Ten on the flop. - Tens. - What? - Tens? - You had a set of tens? - Yeah. - [Stapleton] Forget about Elky winning this hand, if you folded tens there, how do you sleep tonight? Or ever again? (laughter) - Oh the nut straight, queen-nine suited. - [Stapleton] Not now Phil, come on, who calls with queen-nine? - [Grospellier] Pretty good for me, I guess. - [Stapleton] Certainly not you. - [O'Brien] Guess so. - It would have beeen hard to win post-flop on that board. - [Hanson] Elky's going to double up, Scott Ball's going to be left with a bad taste in his mouth. - [Stapleton] And Antonio continues to be stuck. - [Hanson] He's in this game for 50K now. - [Stapleton] Antonio's losing 50K but at least he's getting an education. - [Hanson] He either could've done three years at a private school or sit next to Phil, same difference. - [Stapleton] This is obviously more valuable. - If I had another 3,000 I would've called. And there's Antonio, there's Antonio who's vision isn't open right now, he doesn't see you're super strong so he just re-raises 'cause he's on tilt. I can't get to the flop anyway. And he's eating, he's supposed to be playing really tight. - [Grospellier] That's why he's mixing it up. - No, then you raised twice, and then they re-raised you twice, and so you tightened down your range like I knew you would, but they don't think, like there's no reading ability, there's not math, there's no logic, just Antonio on tilt. - [Laak] We call that AOT, Antonio on Tilt. - Antonio on Tilt. - [Lew] Antonio on Tilt. - That's it, you know. Here he goes again. - Raise. - There's a song, you know that song, Phil? - Here I go again on my own. - Oh yeah. - Oh, so out of key. Oh that's horrible. - We're going to have an entire musical collage we can put together between the rapping, the singing, we'll have it all ready.
